Bad week...sunroof broke and keys got chewed up!

So earlier this week I found one of my smart keys laying on the floor. I have been missing one of them and I was glad that someone had found it. I reached down to see that my dog had destroyed nearly half of it! Then, yesterday I was driving with the sunroof open and went to close it when it made a strange noise. It was a knocking noise as if the mechanism was slipping and was off the track or guide. The noise was/is coming from above the front dome lights near the sunroof button. I also made the mistake of actually getting it closed but pushing the button once more to see if the unit would still tilt normally. When this happened, the drivers side did not tilt up but the passenger side did and now it is stuck! It wont close no matter what I do it just makes bad noises. I am taking it to the dealer and will give and update soon. Hopefully I'll get some pics up too.

LOL... that sucks.

For the key, there's a guy around here selling the front and back covers. He's been converting the older 03-06 fobs to look like the new 07's
If you decide to go that route, I'll dig him up for you.

For the sunroof, others have had the same exact issue. It's a loose screw. Most people have said it's most likely come loose to the extra bassy music they listen to. Either way, it's a fairly easy fix so don't worry too much.

Oh... think about buying the dog a new toy or a piece of rawhide, so this don't happen again!

I don't trust $10 knock-offs from ebay.
Mike's selling real Infiniti covers.

Plus, he's family... give your business to family!

Thanks for the info, I haven't decided what I'm doing yet about my key but the car is going in tomorrow for the sunroof. I think I'll have them check on a service bulletin for the sunroof's cracked rubber lining at the same time. Ill post some pics soon
