I just got quoted almost $700 to do front and back brakes on my 07 g35 sedan by cerritos infiniti. Does this price sound fair? I think its a little hight. I think I will do the brakes myself.

What brand brake pads would you recommend? Should I buy aftermarket or OEM. Is there a place in southern california that you would recommed me buying them from?

I got a quote from cerritos infiniti for front and back pads for $230.

Any help is appreciated.

 

WOW! i hope that includes new rotor and the works but if its just for pads and resurfacing its a HUGE ripoff, i got ceramic pads from r1concepts for around $100 front and cant remember back...

 

for that amount you can buy new slotted or drilled rotors f&r plus hawk hps pads. do it yourself. all you need are some basic tools.

 

A LITTLE high? Huge ripoff IMO. You can buy new rotors and front/back OEM pads for 1/2 as much. Not everyone is handy enough to do their own brakes (myself included) but if you shop around chances are the quotes will be a lot more reasonable.
