Might trade in 08G35xS (4dr) for 09G37xS (2dr)

I'm not exactly sure yet if I am going to go thru with this. I'm not even sure if it is worth it. After a year of owning this G I can't say that I have fallen in love with it like I did my old 05FX. I feel like the G has a numb personality - maybe that's due to the artificial steer feeling I get or maybe its the added weight from the AWD. I also added the K&N intake to try and add more growl but was kind of disappointed with the drone type of sound it ended up producing.

Either way, hypothetically, would it be worth it to trade in for an 09g37xS? If I were to get AWD on the coupe would I yield the same exact driving impressions that I have from the g35 sedan? I'd assume not but I've never driven one so I'm not sure.

Thanks.

do you absolutely need the X?

if not, sounds like you should look into the G37S Coupe 7AT and stillen or injen intake -- you'll get rid of that 'numbness' REAL quick...

X isn't 100% necessary - I'm seriously contemplating giving up AWD but I'm not certain yet.

I figured maybe the rigidity of the coupe, wider stance, shorter wheelbase and others would inevitably make it handle much better (or at least feel much better) then the sedan. I plan on test driving one but I wanted to do the simple research first on here in the meantime. I understand the difference between the X and S but would there ultimately be a difference in a transition from an X sedan to an X coupe?

I'm going to do whatever gets me the best price difference and only if its worth it after that. I'm really just trying to gauge how different the two really are before I go getting prices and I know how to justify it.

For the V36, on average, about a 50 lb difference at most. That's a negligible difference.

Go for it! The G37 coupe is awesome!! and i don't think you'll need the X
due to the weight. X=slower.
Im too considering to get either 09 EVO X or 09 STI.Will trade mine G in.

Honestly, if you're planning on taking such a hit on your G35, make it worth while, and get a totally different car. if its power you're looking for, get a Vette, if it's sportiness w/o the $$ 370Z. But either way, you're going to get raped on trade in. They'll probably give you 20k, well at least that's what i was offered LAST SUMMER!!! I was offered 19k 2-3 months ago...

the 7AT makes it a fun drive compared w/ your '08.... the downfall is you're going to lose some $$$ in your trade in
