when i bought my G a year ago, i WAS NOT going to buy the car unless it was garnet ember. i searched for a long time for a used garnet ember optioned the way i wanted it, and i finally found it and drove about 500 miles to pick it up. its an absolutely gorgeous red, i get sooo many complements on it. everybody loves it, including the detail and paint professional guys that get close up and examine it..

to compare the red (garnet ember) infiniti to a red (pheonix red) chevy isn't even close...two different kinds of red...the garnet ember is closer to the E46 M3 IMOLA RED...with a darker tone...the chevy red is very bright and vibrant...almost looks orange...don't see how you compare the two...and i didn't know you had to own a corvette to own a red car

another rare color is lakeshore slate...rare in a sense that, most people who buy lakeshore slate is either a girl or old person so you won't see many sport edition lakeshore slates...when you have a sport LS tinted, it's pretty nasty

I think blue slate looks like poo. My vote would be for red. Really stands out and easy to maintain

Red is not easy to maintain, in fact in some cases it's harder than black because it fades and is more visible when it does.

Red doesnt show swirls as much. I dont plan on keeping it long enough to fade

AHAHAAHA ^^ anyways...yaa guys i honestly have nothing against red...its a great color for the G but just not to my taste (cops on my tail 24/7) but Lakeshore ive honestly nvr seen except in pics and it looks pretty gud. Do you guys know the tinting limits in SoCal? I don't want staggered tints front/rear...looks weird to me. I'd rather have a gud tint all around thats dark and keeps the sun out, but won't get the cops on me...any suggestions?

Ivory Pearl, not just because that my color, but because a white car always looks good even on a bad day. Also it’s really good at hiding swirl marks and small scratches. However, when I detail my G everywhere I go people stare at and a lot of people tell me it looks like it came from an auto show. It gets really shiny and glossy best color by far in the day and night. Darker colors look better in the day and in the night they just look like every other dark color car. Ivory pearl really shines in the night you can see every detail imo.

Lakeshore Slate gets my vote.
I currently drive a PG sedan and love it. However, sometimes I see a LS sedan crusin by.. I'm like "damnnnnnn.. that's one sweet color!"
Makes me wonder why I did not keep LS as one of my choices of color.
Plus you definitely do not see too many of them on the road.

I highly recommend!

Silver (liquid platinum) with a black tint, a fresh coat of wax every 3 months and clean wheels.

Well in that case, Emerald Mist.

White will always be around. Where's green at?

**cough, cough** my total "unbiased" opinion says Ivory Pearl. IP does tend to hide scratches and swirl marks more compared to the rest of the colors. plus a two toned IP w/ black accents make for a killer looking car
