Can anyone give me a brief description on how to replace the map light bulbs? i have an 08 Sedan.. I just need to know how to remove the cover. I tried popping it from the side facing the rear windshield and it opens i can see the bulb, but i cant take the cover fully off.. i dont wanna snap and break the cover..

 

The covers don't come off all the way. They just swing open. If I remember correctly, they swing down from the inside out, toward the passenger windows... not fromt to back.

I used a very small screwdriver to pop them open, and I had the tip wrapped in a microfiber to avoid scratches or dents in the plastic.
Another thing to keep in mind... change the bulbs with the doors closed, so that the lights are not on.
Those little buggers get to be like 4 trillion degrees in seconds. You pop them out and they melt right through your hand. (not really, but they do get hot)
