How Much Should I Pay For A Clear Bra?

I called up a few local tint places and tried to get quotes for clear bra installation - I was quoted from $700 to $2,200 (wtf?!) to have fairly reputable places in the area do it.

Is there something extremely difficult about my car (2008 G35x sedan) that makes it so expensive? Or am I just getting screwed?

How much have you all paid for professional clear bra installation?

I got the following: 1/3 hood, half fenders, full bumper, mirror covers and luggage area covered for about 8XX with tax installed.

I paid $450 for the same above, i shopped around and the prices varied anywhere from 400-800+ depends on who does it, who you know and how much ur willing to cover..this has been well worth the money spent

Dealer did mine for $600-. Their normal price is $695

It depends on the amount of coverage and the product being applied.
I went with 3M and did the hood, fenders, upper and lower front bumper areas and the side mirrors.

It's not cheap because the G is full of complex curves, making this one heck of a tough installation.

If one has the option, go with VentureShield instead of 3M. Less prone to yellowing, without the clearcoat it also is less prone to scratching, and has a lifetime warranty (versus 3M's 5years)

Also, covering 1/3 of the hood seemed a bit off to me, having a line smack dab across the top of the hood, so if it's available in your area, go with the entire hood (along with full fenders and bumpers)

My 3M came with a 5 year warranty against yellowing.
I'm not too worried about it.
Quite frankly, it'll most likely have seen enough abuse to warrant a replacement by then anyways.

3M may own VS, but VS film stills persists, as does 3M film

Have it on my ivory pearl, u can only really tell the bra is on when the car has a light layer of dust or unless ur really looking. aside from that its not visible. no yellow here either.

I'll be going with these guys as well. From what I heard they do an excellent job. Plus they get a lot of high end cars, so it seems pretty confident to get work there too
