'08 Ipod Charging

Just wanted to check with those of you with an '08 sedan model with ipod interface.. does your ipod charge when connected to the supplied cable in the center console??

Mine doesn't.

My ipod classic (its either a 80GB or 120GB) charges just fine on my 08 sedan, in fact it stays in my car at all times. The screen is a bit messed up from the elements. My iPhone 3G does not. I believe there is an adapter you can buy to remedy this.

No it won't charge stock. Go search for the Scosche adapter online (<30 bucks) and then it'll charge no problem.

Yep. That's what I have and I use the scosche adapter to charge and integrate my iPod.

The only pain in the butt is that the adapter doesn't lock into the phone like the cable does so my phone comes disconnected a lot if it's just resting somewhere. But it works and it's our only option
