question about the dvd/nav

hey guys, im new to this website and to the g35 ive been trying to install a dvd player into my 2008 g35 and no matter where i went they've been telling me its like $650 or $850. I already have a navi all i need is the dvd player and an overwrite for it to show in the drive. The latest place i went said $450. do these prices sound about right? Please help me out. Thanx

If you want a clean factory look i doubt it will get any cheaper unless you find a person to install it at a cheaper price. However, if you don't mind, you can purchase a portable dvd player($80-$200) and use the AUX input located in the armrest. If you choose to go down that route you would have to do an AUX bypass modification. It is not allowed to discuss the bypass mod on this forum so you would have to search around on the Web. If your having trouble finding the DIY bypass send me a PM and i can point you in the right direction.
