I'd put the weight of the 20" VOSSEN at about 27-28lbs or so. Certainly nothing too heavy. 20's don't slow the car down alot. Remember its not as if 19's weight 10lbs less or something. A comparable 1pc 19" wheel will be about 2lbs less
I've never owned 20's so I don't know if thats heavy or not.I'd put the weight of the 20" VOSSEN at about 27-28lbs or so. Certainly nothing too heavy. 20's don't slow the car down alot. Remember its not as if 19's weight 10lbs less or something. A comparable 1pc 19" wheel will be about 2lbs less

That's a decent weight for 20's.
Just get them Vossens are great wheels, especially for the price. But I'm guessing those weights are for the 3pc forged wheels not the cast ones.

I dug around and it looks like the Vossens weigh closer to 29-30lbs which actually is not that heavy for 20" wheels. My semi-lightweight 19s are 22lbs so I think it does somewhat make a difference. If I remember my ricer math correctly, I believe 1lb = 3hp at the wheels so 7 to 8lbs * 3 = 21 to 24whp.
Actually that thread was referring to the same wheels.

So the forged version is probably a little lighter. I inquired about the forged version and they're about 1400 per wheel. The cast version is a little over 1400 from Discount Tire.

Where'd you find that info, Paul? I looked on the Vossen website and they didn't list them. Well, good to know that they're not too heavy. I'm going for more looks, so I'm not too concerned on the weight. I never even knew about ricer math.Originally Posted by paulg35s

1400 per wheel for the forged? I would say that if this were in the range you wanted to spend, there's a TON more options for you out there.Originally Posted by beezy619

So the cast is 1400 per set? If so, that's not bad.

I asked Vossen some time ago regarding the weight of the 20x9 rims.
Its 32 lbs each. Thats the cast version.

Don't have to listen to my advice but I honeslty feel that these "creative" paint jobs on rims are just a fad that will NOT last long. Silver rims have been around since before creation itself. Why try to fix something that is not broken? Now if you had a white car, only SOME black rims would look nice...maybe I just have a thing against black rims. And NO i've never owned black rims, my advans were "dark gun metallic"

If I had a bigger budget I would have gone for the burning black vsxx's, but gotta do best with what I got. The quote I got from Discount Tire was $370 for 20x9 and $420 for 20x10.5.Originally Posted by E-Ticket Ride

For our cars and the g37 they offer +38f and +45r. I know, they're weaksauce, but from all the pics I've seen on our cars, they already sit pretty flush. I was going to run the setup for the 350z, which is +25f and +30r, but since I'll have to run more camber, that'll eat up the tire faster, which I can't afford to replace. Also, I'm only dropped on Eibachs, so it might look funny that I'm running stretched tires when I'm not even that low.Originally Posted by heyitsalex
