My solution to the front license plate law (pics)

So i've been pulled over three times so far for it, none of the times were "typical" driving scenarios but it's still annoying to be pestered so much about it. Twice around 2 in the morning near the UT campus and once after I passed a cop who was going 10 below the speed limit.

So here's my solution, I haven't tested it out yet besides putting it on but it seems solid enough to stay on for a drive. I'll probably just use it for long interstate hauls and late-night driving so I don't get bothered about being a drunk driver.

The suction cups I got didnt fit through the holes, so I had to drill them out a little bit. And there's not enough space to do top and bottom suction cups although I wish there was. I put little sticky felt pads on the back so it hopefully doesn't scratch the paint. Obviously it can go anywhere on the bumper, I put it on the side so it's easier to get a picture of it. All-in-all it cost me 2 bucks, I'll update after I've driven with it to make sure it stays on.

I'm interested to see if it can handle 70mph rides, or even a trip through a mechanical car wash (i know, i know, WE ALL wash our cars by hand)

well i just ran to kroger - probably topped 60 and it's fine

Sorry I should've been more specific. I'm only going to throw it on for long drives or for driving late at night so I don't get bothered. Typical day to day I'll be plate-less as I am now. It's only for "special" occassions

Not a bad Idea popcorn but I would be paranoid about it popping off at some point as well. Only takes one time to get into some issues, love the creativity however.
