I thought that at first too, but with plates on it? Perhaps someone moved and they paid to have it flat bedded rather than driving or trailering. Its better than the alternative....

when people move they usually don't drive their car across the country. I would say he's moving somewhere new.

Considering the fact that it has plates, my first guess would be Repo, but who really knows for sure.

well, an X could be dollied, right?

Probably being towed for illegal parking or being repoed.

The person could also be moving and is having the car shipped to their new location. Not all that uncommon.
