Long story short... I got tints done to my G37 4dr, the place trimmed my bottom fuzzy rubber seals on the small windows in the rears. They say that for some cars they have to do that.. General consensus over at G37driver.com is that its BS.. They messed up.

Over at tintdude.com, i'm getting mixed responses.

Did they mess up and BS me?

Not happy with the place at all.. They're well known in the area and supposed to be a reputable shop. I had to take my car back to get most of the windows redone due to stuck debris..

That sounds like a load of BS to me. I would maybe go in and politely ask to speak to a manager, good luck! It's got to be really frustrating I know.

^+1 seems like they made a mistake and now are trying to cover up, but not sure if all the hassle will be worth the time....

My tint has been on for a year now and I've had no problems at all.
Nothing had to be trimmed on my car.

They didn't have to trim mine on my G sedan, so I'd have to agree with most everyone else... I'd say they either have no idea what they are doing, or they are trying to cover up for the mistake of one of their installers.

If you have a lawyer have him/her draft up a letter with a nice big important letterhead stating that if they do not correct the mistake and repair the damage done to your car you will see them in court. i bet you get a call pretty soon after that.

My tint guy didn't cut the window trim on mine either. Your tint guy owes you new window trim...installed.

He did however trim around the window brakelight.
He re-did it!

If cutting that rubber trim was on purpose and necessary, then why did they do such a hack job on it? It wasn't even a clean level cut all the way across. IMO, it was something they messed up on and now are trying to pass it off as an industry technique. I just got my G Sedan tinted last week on all 7 windows. I checked those small windows and the rubber trim on the bottom were not cut or trimmed what so ever. I call BS all the way from here to Mars.
