Orlando Infiniti: Took My 07 Sedan in for some warranty work
Just thought I would share my experience with Orlando Infiniti. I took my car in on Wednesday with a laundry list of small issues that I wanted to have looked at under warranty. Here's a list of the issues:
-Scratched paint on plastic steering wheel trim around airbag/horn
-Foam "cap" on the gage pod was starting to separate from the pod at the corners
-Loud AC compressor
-"farting" speaker sounds
-sensitive throttle near idle (starting from a full stop)
-wind noise from rear quarter windows
I think that's it...
I was surprised with the way they handled the repairs. For example, to solve the issue of the scratched paint on the steering wheel trim (the boomerang shaped pieces holding the stereo and cruise controls) they simply replaced the entire steering wheel! They also replaced the rubbery "cap" piece covering the gage pod (matches the dash pad material) rather than just stick it back down with some adhesive. I suspected they would need to replace the AC compressor so that wasn't a big surprise, nor were the fixes for my other problems.
All told the "bill" to Infiniti corporate came out to around $2500.. Gotta love warranty work! None of these issues were serious (apart from maybe the AC compressor, it still worked fine but may have failed in the near future) but I just wanted to get them taken care of.
I've never had the opportunity to work with a "high end" dealer like this before and I was pretty impressed with the level of service. The loaner car was nice (EX 35 crossover) and the new facility was very posh.
The one issue I have is that it seems the service tech put my new steering wheel on with the wheels slightly turned to one side. I have to turn the wheel about 10 degrees to the left to keep the car straight. I'm not looking forward to a trip back across town to get that sorted out, but I have no doubt they will take care of it ASAP (if my previous experience is anything to go on)
So there you have it... Probably par for the course at Infiniti dealers but I thought I would share my experience with this particular dealer. If there's any difficulty getting my steering wheel straightened out I'll edit this post.

Well atleast some one got good service from them. When they were in their old location i had taken my car for some warranty work also. I went in for Right headlight was fogging up inside, right HID would not work at times. NAV glove blox leather was peeling, Driver seat was ripped, and also I asked them to check my clutch because I was getting vibration from it. Mined you when i went in my car was driveable. I get the car everything was fixed except for the clutch they never even mentioned it. So as I am driving home my Clutch is slipping in every gear, so i called them and they were like "Oh" oh yeah your clutch is worn and it warped your flywheel. I was WTF. it ws fine when it went in. So they were like oh well it cost $3000 for a new clutch and flywheel install. I call consumer affairs, and told them what happen. I went to Performance factory and had them do it. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ORLANDO INFINITI AGAIN........ I have heard some other bad stories about them.......
West houston here in Texas has been great to me. they also replaced my entire steering wheel for that same issue as well as the door trim around the window switches. they also replaced the foam console as well! everytime i go in there im in and out in less than 10 mins with a loaner!
Good to hear. I took my G to Infiniti of Tampa for the same a/c compressor noise issue and they told me they could not replicate it. WTF?!? Exactly how did you describe the noise to them? I mainly hear mine at idle. Sounds like it is going to come apart any day now.
