IMPORTANT Warranty / TSB question

Does your G have to be under warranty for the dealer to fix an issue listed in a technical service bulletin?

I've got 52,500 on my '07 and am taking it in for a check-up tomorrow. Lately I've been experiencing some issues that I know are addressed in several TSBs.

Given that I'm now out of warranty, is the dealer going to charge me to address these issues?

Thanks in advance for your help!

besides even if you are out of warranty the TSB has to performed for free as its a corporate level acceptance of a problem and a solution to keep its consumers safe and happy

hmm i believe recalls are done for free. TSBs are not free once out of warranty. when we use Mitchell on demand at my shop we pull up all kinds of TSBs on vehicles and customers cant go back to dealer for free to get them done

Judging by my recent experience concerning TSB warranty work, even if you are under warranty it does not guarantee that the dealer will not make you jump through the hoops about it. It depends on the level of awareness of your service manager. Print out your TSBs and bring them with you, and prepare to defend your case if your SM gives you the runaround (make sure to ask whether the work will be done under warranty, so you will not be charged). If they refuse, and you feel that you have a good case, ask to speak to head manager of the dealership and if that does not help, e-mail Infiniti USA (the latter did the trick for me - just found out it was not the dealer that caved in, but the main office that forced the dealer's hand).

shifter peeling is wear and tear to an extent. steering wheel and door handle plactic is a known problem on 07 and early 08's. my dealer fixed it under warranty although they didnt seem to happy about it

Don't really care if they are happy but more if they can do it

my shifter looks terrible and I don't do anything other than switching it

TSB's are not free once you're out of warranty. My dad's pathfinder had a TSB issue and he had to pay $100 to fix it.

I think maybe the woman misheard me on the phone and thought I said 62,000 instead of 52,000 miles.

Anyway, the dealer did replace the front brake pads and service the rotors under the TSB for the steering wheel judder when breaking, so it worked out.
