My title probably isn't the best, but it explains what has happened.

My car used to beep every time I pushed the exterior button to lock the doors. Now it just locks/unlocks without any beeping noise.
I tried using both key fobs and have the same result. I must have turned this feature off somehow.

hold the lock and unlock button together, pointed at the car for 3-5 seconds. And it toggles between beep and no beep.
