Ordering a 6MT and sport seat mods
I'm thinking about ordering a new 2010. I just want the manual sport sedan with premium package, no NAV or anything else. How long should I expect to wait for it? Since the car will not be inventory stock, how sweet shoudl infiniti make the price? Is invoice unreasonable since the dealer gets the holdback for almost no effort?
Has anyone heard whether Infiniti will modify the sport seats to fit American butts for 2010. I test drove a 2008 and a 2009 that were downright uncomfortable, but I am not willing to forgo the other aspects of the sports package? Has anyone had the dealer do the sport seat modification? Does any one have pictures of what gets cut away?

I recall a member taking his seat to an upholstery shop and having them disassemble the seat and cut two metal rails that are meant to keep the bolstering rigid. He said it made a big difference. I've also read about bending a rail an inch or so to help and removing foam. I tried searching for the guy that removed the metal members but came up short.

If you want to get a better price, look for a new 2009 manual g37. Autotrader will list lots of dealers all over the US. Stick shifts don't sell as easy as an auto, so any dealer that still has one will be motivated to negotiate. You'll still save money even if you have to catch a flight on southwest airlines to buy one out of state. Good luck
