LED's for Reverse Lights

I need bright back-up LED's for the sedan. V-LED's have these, but I get the feeling they are just bright in appearence but dont really illuminate the area behind the car.

If any of you have noticed on recent Cadillac models, they are equipped with very bright back-up lights that illuminate the entire pavement behind the car.

I can vouch for V-leds though all the product I have bought have been really nice, and good quality. You get for what you pay for atleast imo.

I have those exact LEDs in my car right now. They look just how they do in those sample pictures.
They're actually quite bright when you look at them. So, they'll definitely catch any other driver's attention who might be behind you.
As for illumination should you need to see if anything is behind you, I would say they illuminate as well as the stock bulbs. Perhaps a lil' more.

Yeah, they're expensive... but, I think they're a nice touch. Very clean and pure-white. I'm happy with my purchase.

+1
That's the thing I don't like as well.
I'd love to have something more functional.

Hey MyGi$ yours are really bright there's no doubt about that, but from looking at the picture you can tell that the lights dont illuminate the area behind the car.

Intgr8r, I agree with you functionality is whats important when modifying lights.

FISHrFun, thanks for your great review man, I may end up going with the V-LED system. Do you mind posting a picture of yours?

If you do, it would be great to hear your review on the functional improvement.

Have you ever tried Autolumination.com? I used them to do a car from front to back, and inside and out; had almost every bulb I could for my car converted to LED. The biggest thing you have to watch for with LED bulbs is if they only point light forward; meaning the led is on the end and projects it's light only out. This causes issue by not using the reflector housing of the tail light to get more light output and coverage. They sell some LED's bulbs with single forward mounted, or ones with them on the side as well as on the top. Look at this page and you will see all the different options they have and for a very good price to me. I will be getting either the Cree Eagle Eye tower (first one listed), or the 18 LED tower (third one listed). I used multi LED tower bulbs before and it really made a huge difference. They even have HID reversed light kits for $79 on the same page. I have not researched the HID reversed lights so I am not sure if the price is on par or not. Just thought I would throw this out there as they sell bulbs for just about anything you could think of.
