??'s about Lowered cars and dealerships

Im planning to lower my car on Eibach springs next spring and was wondering about the dealership service after being lowered. should i expect certain service because my car is lowered? will the dealership still be able to service my car--- such as getting on the car lift?

has anyone on Eibachs still go to the dealership for service, such as oil changes or what have you.

reason being is because i have lifetime oil changes from the dealership and sometimes i would head to the dealership for state and emission stickers.

thanks.

i am lowered on Eibachs and i've had no problems going to my dealer and them getting my car on their lifts. you should not expect any change in service just because your car is lowered and if you do...time to find another dealership

My dealer sells and installs Eibachs, so they have no issues with dropped cars

OP, your dealer should not have a problem with lifting your lowered car. You are only lowering it a little more than 1 inch.

G35steve, did they give you a reason why they would not do the alignment for you? It's odd to hear of a dealership that doesn't want your money.

Be careful because from what I know the dealer can partially or completely void your suspension warranty. They say changing the springs will result in a different configuration for the other components and therefore your shocks will wear faster as well as other things. I believe most dealers don't give a hassle for a dropped car until the car is brought in for a suspension related issue. Having said this, the dealer nearest to me is Van Nuys Miller Infiniti and they extremely suk at doing quality work and told me my warranty will be voided if I choose to drop the car.

i dropped my 08 Sedan on Eibachs and had some suspension issues a couple months later and they took care of everything under warranty...it was right before i hit 40K...it depends on what dealership...if the service manager is cool if not you can forget it...they will try to squeeze every penny they can from you.

I went as far as asking my dealer's manager about lowering the car.
He said it won't void any warranties except the obvious suspension/tires components.

As for the lift, no problems at all, they should be able to handle lowered cars. Eibach is not low enough to give them problems.

They told me they told they only work on factory parts. Since then i havent gone there for any service, i just do it myself.
