My current tank is averaging 13.6 mpg, 100% city driving (avg. speed since my last fill-up 43 miles ago is 13.1 mph). This is heavy stop-go traffic in Chicago and whenever I have a bit of open road, I'm usually romping on it. Typically I'm seeing between 15-18mpg in city driving (with average speed of around 15-20mph).

I drove the car on a 5 hour road trip a few weeks ago and got right around 20mpg on the highway, averaging between 75-80mph.

I'm assuming those numbers will get a little better in the summer. It's a little disappointing, but then again... I didn't buy the car because I thought it would be economical.
Same here--it just seems lower than normal. I checked my oil today and it looked somewhat dark...although I don't really have a reference so I'm not sure how bad it is. On the car, the oil cahange reminder was set for a whopping 14000 miles and it was almost 10000 in. BUT, the filter reminder was set to 3750 and it was only 2000 in. I'm not sure if the BUick dealer from which i bought the car changed the oil and filter and just reset the filter...or actually never changed anything. I dunno. I'm gonna have it changed when I get back to Philly this weekend. I'm still trying to find a deal on oil though. How much do you guys think fully synthetic, quality oil will cost to fully replace what's in the car now at a mechanic's?
