Oookay....TPMS Re-program?

We had that crazy cold snap here in Fla last month and the TPMS light has't came off from when 1 tire was low. Filled that one up to 33psi and check them all, drove for over 100mi. still on. Read about a trouble shooting i.e. to fill em up 2psi passed normal and it might reset. still nothing. just talk to dealer (millenia) in Orlando they said yea the 07 and 08's are doing this, and they might need to do a re-program. I dont have the stock ECU with my upRev tune. She said (Sara) they'll do the that then if that didnt work they'd replace the sensor (as they are on back order right now)

Will anything they do in the re-program mess with my tune?

It is just a light but now its been a month or so and it's kind of bugging me...

thanks for any help guys.

It may be worth trying higher pressures just to see if it clears the light.

What's the highest I would need to go over 35psi to be safe and try and clear it?

Crazy cold? In Florida? You mean little freezing right.

LOL

I ran my G in winter with 35-36 psi.

I've had my '07 do that as well when it got cold. I put about 40 psi in it and drove around for a day and it cleared up the light. Next day, I set the pressure back down to spec.

My 08 did the same thing. I had to get the air pressure to something like 38 psi then the light turned off.

It happened to me this morning.. 2nd time since buying the car.. I just put air to the recommended 33... I think I may have put in 34. but close to recommended.. I noticed that the light was still on but after driving for about 30 seconds on the freeway the light went off.. = )

Getting pissed...

Well I have been driving around since sat w/ my tire pressure at 40psi and it's still on!! Yea, I'm mad. Seriously. I don't wAnt to bring it in (1hr) from my house just to fix this and possiably wipe my upRev tune away.

Well, that leaves the sensor(s) or the BCM. My guess is a bad sensor. Unless you have your own code reader, a dealer will be able to tell you which one based on the error code. I'm pretty sure your tune is safe.

Is the light blinking for 30 seconds when you first start the car, and then going solid?
I've had tpms sensor problems 2 times. When it blinks and then goes solid that means the battery is low, and they have to replace.
The tpms program won't mess with your flash.

I'm not so sure 'low battery' is the only possible reason. Mine blinks 30 seconds and then goes solid but it's because I have my winter wheels on and they have no TPMS sensors in them at all. I'm just saying there may be more than one possibility.

i run a tire shop but i couldnt reset my tpms monitor so i took it to the dealer. the dealer stated my sensor was bad and was going to order me one i said ok and i got into the car and the light was off. i guess they reset my sensor and wanted to put a new one? LOL

i never returned and its been off...only reason it came on was this one night got really cold. i hope it doesnt do it again once its off warranty
