Arrow Back-up Camera Install Question---Please Help!

Ok I bought the following equipment...

Amazon Amazon

http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=1267

Since I'm installing the video interface...do I still need to do the video bypass (wire cutting)? If you install the video interface and do the video bypass, what will happen?

Thanks for your help! I'm having this installed tomorrow and need to know if I need to tell the installers to perform the video bypass or not.

Thanks again!

You still need a video lockout bypass in order to use the camer when the car is in motion, but we can't discuss video bypass here per forum rules. I think the video interface only automatically switches to the camera when in use but does not actually bypass the lockout.

So the interface only keeps you from having to press the AUX switch? It doesn't bypass the video lockout? Anyone else?

Thanks for your help!
