Smile (new owner) Has anyone put in 7440 LED bulbs in turns signals on a 2007 G35x?

I appologize in advance if this is in the wrong section.
First off, i'd like to introduce myself and say that i've been reading up on the G for a while before buying one and now i have

If anyone here owned a KH3 2007 G35x from Pepe Infiniti in White Plains, NY with all the packages & toys/wood trim, i just bought your car

I'm very excited, as my previous car was a '97 maxima GLE

I have already bought LEDs to replace all the interior/exterior lights. I'd like to make sure that i can replace the 7440 turn signal bubls with LED equalent front & back.

It seems like the 07 has an electronic flasher, has anyone done this without getting "hyperflashing" or messing up the electricals ?

Im pretty sure you will have to put some kind of a Resistor for the turn signal, since led take less power then standard bulp, but meaby somebody on here can confirm that, im not sure since i dont have them on, however i was thinking about it

Yeah, i know that's what usually needs to be done.
But, lately, you don't have to put resistors in. You just have to change the flasher unit to an electronic one. But that's really for older cars. The flasher or "clicker" on the '07 sedan sounds like it's electronic, not mechanical.

Thanks for your reply

Thanks for link!! What a p.i.t.a!!
I thought the '07 had an electronic flasher that could handle LEDs

http://store.ijdmtoy.com/12V-Electro..._fix_sku84.htm

what about THIS instead of resistors?

EDIT: I just went out & couldn't find any sturn signal relays. That sux.
My neighbor told me that there are LEDs with built-in resistors that are around somewhere.

Just cause it hyperblinks does not mean it is not an electronic flasher..... looks like that relay replaces the electronic flasher.... the way it reads sounds like it'll work. G'luck.

Did you try your LEDs without the resistors before installing them?
Did your G hyperblink?

The FSM states that the BCM flashes the turn signals and hyperflashes when it sees an "open circuit". I would think that the LED wouldn't show an open circuit, just lower resistance.

The problem is that i couldn't find a relay for the turn signals under the hood

I did, and they hyperblink, I also had a bad connection when first installing the resistors and they hyperblinked as well then. LEDs resistance is so low the circuit seems open to the car so the hyperblink occurs, the fix is needed. Relay may be in the fuse box under the dash, try there as well.

Just checked the fusebox under the dash, just fuses, no relays

oh, most definetly!

I'll try to find those LEDs with built-in resistors, otherwise, it's your method

All LEDs have resistors, but I don't think there are any with resistors for the blinkers built in.

And I believe the flasher relay is inside the dash behind the gauge cluster.

I was about to ask if anyone knows where the relay is?

It's too much of a pita to take apart the dash just for that. I'm sure if we wait another year, they will come out with 7440s that have load resistors built-in
