All Season Floor Mats Experience

I was cleaning the interior of my car today, and I decided to take the floor mats out for a bit of quick cleaning. As I did, I noticed that there were a bunch of pebbles that seemed to have gotten through to the carpet under. The All Season Mat was falling apart. Several of the bumps have been separated leaving a thin open crevice for gook, or more importantly water, to seep through.

While it is a 2007 g35x, it's rarely driven and only has 26k km on it. I've read quite a lot of people have had their OEM All Season mats die out on them, but is it normal for only 26k km of usage?

Added a picture, I think part of the reason for the split, on several of the bumps, is due to the uneven surface the mat sit on. Unfortunate really. No one else experience this problem?

My friend worked through his in about 35K.

I now have the contoured all season weathertech mats.
I'll chime in when I have another 45k on the car.

Ha! I have the exact opposite problem. I wear those cheap $20 leather shoes from Kohl's and the heels on those are what keeps wearing off -- the mats OTOH, at roughly 48k, are still relatively good.

I still find the quality a little disappointing. The separation is in an area where the foot rarely even contacts the mat. Perhaps I'll just super glue them back, I've never had floor mats break down this early. Are there any warranty on these things at all

^ i doubt it has any warranty but i am due to change my driver mat as well, theres a hole in the mat where i place my heel for the clutch, but this was after a good 40k mi and now im at ~50k and still waiting to change it, hopefully i can find someone who is just selling their driver side mat as the rest of mine are brand new.

It really surprised me, given the area where I contact the most with my heels, near the gas pedal, were perfectly fine. I think the cause of the separation was due to the mats not fitting well. I'm a bit hesitant to post pictures since I havn't got around to cleaning the mats since winter season but I'll do it once the hockeys games over so people get a clear idea what's up.

No issues with wear on OEM all weathers at 47K, but then I only use all weather mats late fall -> early spring, then change them out to OEM carpet mats
