New (to me) G35x!

I just picked up a 2007 G35x with 45k miles. Premium package, no NAV.

It's my first car. I'm very excited, and have been lusting after it for a long time. I kinda wish I got the nav, but I saved a lot of $$$ by passing on it, and I don't think I'd use it often.

I'm simply in awe of all the bells and whistles. I still have many of them to learn, but I will try to read the owner's manual before asking questions here. One thing I couldn't figure out... does it not have a digital clock???

I'm looking forward to putting in some good miles. Here are a couple pics...

Thanks!

I checked under settings, couldn't find anything for the clock.

Is it possible that the digital clock is only available with nav?

Congrats on the new ride and welcome to the forum.
That's a damn nice car for being your first set of wheels.

The 07 manual states that the clock settings are found in the Settings section (if so equipped). It goes on to say that the on-screen clock is only turned on or off in the settings section. The time itself is set through GPS. You can only set things like Time Zone, DST and time format.
That means no Navi= no Clock.

True. But I'm 27 and work my a$$ off. It's not like I'm 16 and my parents gave it to me for my birthday.

I'm sorry, but that is just ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this car. Infiniti puts so much effort into its technological features... yet they can't offer a simple digital clock unless you pay extra for it??

I love the analog clock. I would not trade it for digi clock.

I don't want to trade it.

I think the analog clock looks very sharp. But from a functionality standpoint a digital clock would be nice. I wish I could have both.

Without the NAV you also are missing out on the 9GB hard drive and a compact flash card slot.

Welcome to the "G" family! I love my 07 X

First thing, do a tint job - you won't regret it, especially with your ride being silver! Also, even though I have the nav and thus a digital clock (big deal), I wouldn't trade the analog clock for anything. It is Infiniti's signature - no other (modern) vehicle has it.

I turned the digi clock off.
I didn't like it on the top of the screen.

I guess if you don't have it, you want it and once you have it, it's turned off
lol

Excellent color choice!

Agree with Wallaby that I like the analog clocks, although I have to comment that they forgot their "signature" on my old 2001 G20 which had no analog clock. No problem though since I only kept it for 1.5years then sold it to get a QX4.

07-10 benz s class, glk, e class, clk, slk, sl, cl, all have a pretty luxurious anolog clock built around the same place as the infiniti clock and maserati quattroporte has one and im pretty sure bmw has one on some of the models but you are right that toyota, honda, suburu etc dont have one sorry just thought i would clear that up

Congrats on the car bro ur going to love it

Congrats on the new ride.

Is there something not functional about an analog clock? You'll get used to it in a few days and it should be plenty functional.
