07-09 to 2010 Front End Conversion - Info + Pics = = First in the US

I believe this is the first 2010 conversion for the 07-09 sedans anyone has done in the US... publicly.

My 2010 sedan was smashed by some drunk driver over night while parked, so it's in the middle of getting fixed. My 10 headlights are taking some time to arrive, so I needed to borrow my friends 2009 headlights so the shop can aligned everything and weld the bumper reinforcement into place.

I ended up letting him borrow my smashed 2010 headlights and my new bumper while we used his continue the work on my sedan.

My sedan...

I recovered the headlights, but they had several holes in the back, i fixed it and plastic welded it as much as I could, and we slapped them on his car.

Here's a teaser shot, I'll post more when I get home and upload pics off my camera.

Here's the info you guys should know if you want to do the conversion...

You will need:

Bumper Cover ($350 from the dealer)
3 lower grilles
Fog Lights ($160 a piece from the dealer)
Upper Grille ($260 from the dealer)
Bumper support Styrofoam piece (07-09 wont fit)
Windshield Washer Tank (it's redesigned to fit the foglights)
Headlights ($9xx.xx a piece)

Let me know if you have any more questions... more pics will be posted shortly.

Nice job, man! It's gonna look nice when it's done. Although, I'm still think I like the '07 - '09 front end better.

Nice! When I bought my 07 G35s, my whole front was almost gone, so I thought about doing it the 2010 conversion, but then didn't want to spend extra $$$$ cause parts are rare to find and are way too expensive.
+ I also agree that I like 07-09 front end little better as well, but I do love that 2010 models have lower fogs.

BTW I have a question... does the 2010 hood and the fenders are the same as older gens??? They haven't changed them did they?

The 2nd picture is of a 09xS that's already been "dipped" flat white.

Same fenders and hood. In fact... you can bold up all the parts from the coupe onto the sedan aside from the fenders (which would require mating the coupe and sedans fenders together with a bit of cutting and welding). I would have gone that route on my sedan, but I honestly like the new sedan front more than the coupe.. It's actually my favorite front end out of all G's ever produces.

Putting the 09 next to the 10 is such a huge difference, you guys don't like it yet because you probably haven't seen enough to get used to it, it's so refreshed, MUCH more aggressive, makes the old g look like an Sentra next to the Altima.

Fogs will work, all you need to do tap into the headlight plug for the foglights and run it down to the bumper. No modifications needed to the bumper. Iron-Man will be available for the 2010 headlights as soon as my new white LED's arrive.

I'll do a photoshoot in 2 weeks to show you guys the end result of the car, it should blow some minds.

Here's the rest of the pics by the way...
