Underbody Damage - Need Reputable Repair Shop
Hey guys and gals,
I was driving on Highway 17 south near Los Gatos on Wednesday and something from the truck ahead of me was kicked up and did some damage to my front bumper and underbody . Beshoff is taking a look at it right now and initial assessments look like new exhaust and engine wire harness will be needed. I definitely need to get the work done but am not sure if I should have Beshoff do it or take it somewhere else. Any suggestions if I take it to another shop?
Thanks in advance!!!

Hey Jimmy,
You'll probably get better luck with this post in the regional Norcal section however mods may opt to move this thread over.
I can provide some feedback to your situation. I actually had a similar incident occur to my '08 g sedan in May on 880 near the fremont/newark border where I ran over a piece of road debris that did significant damage to my undercarriage. I had the car towed to Beshoff Infiniti for diagnostics and repairs. Luckily there was no body damage, the damage assessed included a damaged oil pan, transmission plate, and muffler assembly.
The car was checked in Thursday by Joey at Beshoff and turned around with repairs completed by Tuesday. I can't say enough positive things about my experience there but I can tell you your car will be in good hands there.
I was quoted for both prices to get the car running again in addition how much it would cost to replace the cosmetically damaged components. Since I went through my insurance for the claim I decided to have everything repaired including the cosmetic damage.
A few words of advice, if you decide to go through your insurance may I advise also filing a claim through caltrans for the damage http://www.dot.ca.gov/damageclaims.htm . You MAY be able to get your deductible refunded if they allow the claim. I'm still awaiting my claim response...
Good luck with the repairs
