Car won't start

Maybe a tech can chime in. I was playing volleyball for a few hours with some friends went to pop my trunk with by holding down the key fob button and it didn't pop. When i unlocked my car the lights didn't blink or when I locked it to check on it the horn didn't honk (along with the light) which I have set to. Got in the car to start it no dash lights lite up. Pulled out the jumper cables and charged it for a few min and it sounded like it almost was about 50-60% going to start and sputtered out. Another 5 min went by just about to call a tow truck it started.

Wth is going on?

*edit sorry for the mispells was type it up on my phone.

maybe you left something on in your car and the battery died? and then maybe you didnt allow sufficient time to pass while jumping the battery before you tried to start the car again? im not too sure but i left my lights on before and tried to start the car after and it almost sounded like it was going to turn on but didnt.

Sounds like your battery was dying. One time, I brought my car to the dealership because my car died after an hour of leaving on ACC mode...they replaced some kind of power control module...they said it could cause the battery to lose charge after a while...

Thank you for your responses and I will call tom when they open to ask them about that.

I always leave my car charger pluged in, but it's been in for almost a year with no issues is it finally catching up now? That's the only thing I can think of that can be 'left on'.

maybe when you turned off your car, you accidentally pushed your power button twice which puts it on acc and turns off the engine but leaves the other stuff on

the cars intelligent power feature will still cut the power after about 20-30minutes to prevent power drain. but if the battery is about done, thats all it will take to drain it. check the fluid level in each cylinder and the charging capacities. if that checks out, test your alternator.

Our battery died on our 08 as well. Just went kaput on my mom during the day. Had to call the dealer and they came and jumped it. Replaced the battery under warranty.

Mine almost didn't turn over once. That was all it took after reading about battery drain. I bought a battery tender the next day. It's hooked up if I know I won't be driving it for a couple days.
