Has anyone replaced the Bose woofer in the rear deck?

I am wondering what it would sound like with a JL Audio 10 inch driver instead of the bose....

I would think someone would have tried it but I can only find information about the last generation G....

Actually, after browsing some threads where Feng from Bose posted I think I might just add an extra sub in the trunk to fill in the lower frequency range.

I know I should theoretically post stuff like this in the appropriate forum, however, given posts on this forum take 3 or 4 days to get off the front page, I feel it's really not that important to be that careful about posting rules.

If this were like the BMW forum I participated in the last couple of years where daily posts go 4 or 5 pages deep I would be much more attentive to the rules. (but if a mod wants to move it I won't complain either)

I will be installing a small JL Audio sub system with an 8 inch w3 woofer and an Alpine MRP 500 amp--mainly just to fill in below 50 hz but this won't happen for at least a few weeks because this month's car mod budget was taken up with a clear bra.

hey sorry I post stuff on the main page too to get more views, I was just saying if you make a new thread so that it can be archived properly. That sounds awesome though, I used to have an mrp 1000 (i think) paired with a alpine type x in my previous car and that thing hit lows soo well. I miss the bass so let us know how it turns out!

No worries Sam, I didn't mean to come off harsh on you.

Once I get it in I will definitely post a review....
