its possible but it wont look nice. you should try 19x10 + 35 with stretched tire that would work.

why wouldn't it look nice? As long as the car is dropped enough, it would look great!

OP, if you want to go with a mild stretch and lower the car 3" or so, i'd go 18x10 +20 with a 245/40/18. If you want a real stretch, 18x10 +10 with a 225/45 would be very nice.

If you want a semi-stretched look i'd go 245/40, you'll have room to adjust camber settings. If you want more meat you can go 265/40 and run a little negative camber.

wow trust me u dont wanna go 10 in the front , why dont u do staggered ?? since yours aint a X.
i've tried my friend's 20X10 in the front with 245/30/20..... it ruins the image of a comfort G.... u can feel every rock on the road with that.

if u wanna do so go 18 X 10 +25 with all 245/40/18s and some -2.7+ camber ( it will eat up your tires within a year if it's your daily drive G)

go for the right offset man, dont think about spacers before ordering the rims.

if u want more aggressive, go with the width also, dun just be the offset

since it's a S

go 18X 10 +20 235/40/18 for front 18 X 11 + 30 265/40/18 for the rear

you said 30 in your original post so there is a big difference between 30 and 40, as well as 35 and 40 series.

G's come stock with 18's so if you're staying with 18's, your ride wont differ.

He's obviously not looking at wheels that have fully custom offsets if he said he's looking at 18x10 +30 so i doubt he'd want to spend the money to get the right offsets first. In which, spacers are fine.

OP, if you want an aggressive setup then go with a 225/45/18 and 15mm spacers.

So you'll be at 18x10 +15 all around.

well yea 30 is the second set i did try on.. and im on 35 now.. comparing to my friend's 40 ... the different is very slight.
wow stretch with 225, then it will have a huge different comparing to stock.eventhough they are both 18.
stretch tires has more traction with the actual size, but it collapsed the confort of the ride.

225/45/18 is taller than the 235/40 you recommended (which is WAY too small in diameter for the front of a second Gen Gsedan).

225/45/18, although stretched, is a much better fitment and only a size down from stock.

If he wants to keep the stock rolling diameter then 245/45/18 all around would be the correct size, but wont look very good with the big sidewall and wont be too much of a stretch.

well the correct size for 18 X 10 should be 275/45/18... 245 still slightly stretch.

the ride comfort is not determine only by taller or not... if he go with 225 on 10".. it will stretched much to loss comfort.

it goes back to an old post on the forum..
go stretched tires or not... lol

275/45 is over an inch taller in diameter from the stock 245/45/18 tire. 275/40 would be the correct size, but that would not fit up front.

A stretched tire has nothing to do with ride comfort. A 225/45/18 on an 18x10 would still be a comfortable ride.

The OP has already stated he wants to go aggressive which leads me to believe that ride comfort is not high on the list of priorities either way.
