Pics of the blacked out grill on a platinum graphite G as promised. I love how it turned out, used 3 coats. IMO the car looks more refined...... thought the chrome grill was kind of tacky (Taurus like). The Stillen Gen 3 really pops out at night now. Thanks for the idea.... best $6 I've invested in my G.

do you guys think this midnight grille mod look good on a lakeshore g35x?
right now mine is fully stock. here is the color if you don't know it.

does anyone has black grille on Obsidian Black? i want to do this PlastiDip thing but worry black on black might be kinda ugly.

Don't paint it completely black. Do what i did. Leave top and bottom and emplem chrome, and everything else black.
I think the same as you that it doesn't look as good black on black, or completely black on dark colors.

Hey man, looks great! Do you have any pics in the light? My G is platinum graphite and this is one mod I've thought about doing.

Picked up my can of PD and am going to be doing the Midnight grill this weekend. Did you happen to tape-off the little 1/8" vertical strip of chrome on the left and right ends of the grill or did you paint them?
I was thinking with the top and bottom blades, the emblem and this narrow strip down each side left chrome, it might look ok too.
Thoughts?
