2007 Sedan/Coupe exhaust tone

Looking at getting a G. It will be auto. No racing or tracking; just weekend car. I really like the sound of the 05-07 G35 Coupe. The G37 Coupe seems to have lost that almost exotic tone that was instantly recognizable with the G35 Coupe. How does the 07/08 G35 Sedan sound in comparison to the last gen coupe? Do any of the current exhaust offering get it somewhat close?

Probably weird to cross shop a coupe vs sedan but the newer sedans look nice unlike the last generation (imo). Also, the prices for an 07 Sedan isn't far off from an 05-07 Coupe and it seems to have a better interior, more HP, better MPG, and weigh less. I think the Auto trans is the same, 5 speed rev match auto, or does the 05 coupe not have it? Maybe only the 06/07 coupe on the last gen.

the exhaust of g35 sedan is way muted compare to the coupe, not very noticeable unless you're behind the car

get a coupe if you want a weekend car, feels more special. It's doesn't make sense to me to have a sedan as a weekend car (well maybe a m5). You can always get an older coupe and mod it.

The improvements on the newer sedan make it difficult to ignore. Remember, it's lighter, more hp, better mpg, and nicer interior. The older coupe has the looks (and that distinct exhaust note) but the sedan isn't bad itself. I was looking at low mileage 06-07 coupes and the new gen G35 sedan was close in price. I don't know that I read anything about oil consumption issues with the newer engine; and I do like the dual intake setup. Both are nice cars and will get test drives. It may turn out that there is more haggle room on the older gen coupe vs the new gen sedan. Tough choice.
