i am talking to this dealer about an 07 g35x fully loaded. price is good but i looked at one of the pic of the engine bay and noticed that where the radiator fan is the 2 parts that i guess hold it look rusted, ull be able to see in the picture what i am talking about and also on the radiator cover itself only has one of the stickers on it, all the other cars i have seen have 2 stickers on it. im just not sure if it was in an accident. please post a picture of you engine bay and compare please. i hope you guys can tell in the picture,. thanks

Heres one that came from a quick google search.

Another thing you can try is take a look at the heads of the bolts that go into the chassis and engine block. Each one should be marked with a colored line (mine are orange) from the factory indicating whether or not they've ever been removed.

I took a few pics of mine for you. Something is up with the one you are looking at but I cant guess why those brackets are rusty. Mine have a very thick coating of paint/rust protection on them.

From my past experiences, when in doubt.....

My brother and I both bought Accords when we were in High School.... his was 2k cheaper than mine... turned out to it was in a major accident, and for the entire time he owned it, he ALWAYS had problems.

I would really try to get it looked at my a mechanic before buying it .... worth every penny ...

I say you should start to look at another car. Did you look at the carfax? Those brackets look like they were sitting in the rain for a long time.

Are you sure that is rust on the brackets and not just reflection? I dunno but that looks like a light reflection.

BTW, either that is a G37 sedan with a G35 engine cover or something has been modified in there. The fuse box to the right of the driver's side intake box is only located there on the G37 sedan and coupe. The 07-08 G35 had that box near the battery hidden inside the battery compartment.

The other thing that seems to stand out is that the screws (which are normally dark gray) are showing up like they are bright white, which is either of sign of replacement screws or severe zinc oxidation or something? I'd say that there is a very good possibility that you're not looking at the original front end for that car.

Do yourself a favor and don't buy a car that looks like might have been in a front end collision.
