2010 G37 Projector Housing in a 2008 G35?

I have a 2008 G35xs sedan and I like the iron man mod. The 2010 G37 projector cover has similar holes as the new coupes for leds to shine through to have the iron man headlights. My question is, can I replace the ones in my g35 with those? The 2008 g35 has long horizontal slits around the chrome housing around the projector.

Anything can be done with enough ability or money.

It will not be a simple swap out. But yes it can be done.

You would have to contact a member on G35NYC whose name is igor. He does all kinds of headlight painting and led stuff to headlights and he is good at it.

Whatever you do, DO NOT contact Igor. Not if you ever want your headlights back.

Best thing to do is talk to Danny at Limited Edition.

I think limited edition is in Cali, but to the person who said that igor takes headlights and doesn't give them back doesn't know what he is talking about. This guy does quality work and is trustable unless your one of those people that disrespect one business so the customer goes somewhere else. If you guys don't believe me go to G35nyc.com and ask members there what they think about him. You can even go to myg37.com where he is a vendor and see his reputation. Oh and if I hurt anyones feelings then suck it up and deal with it.

You can get the 2010 headlights, bumper and grille. It'll look better and you can get the Iron-Man done to them.

What's the problem that you had with Igor? PM me and I'm sure it can be resolved.

I've partnered up with Igor at 180Custom and I can guarantee you that things are run differently now. I'm in charge of all customer relations while Igor does most of the hands-on work. He had issues with his LEDs before but we solved that problem and are back in action. Doing a lot of warranty work at this time but hopefully soon we will become a vendor on this forum.

You're a comedian my dude. How about the set of projectors I mailed to you WITH the iron-man installed on them and you never sent your originals back?! Good one dude, go talk **** else where. I never kept anyones headlights, 2 orders got backed up ONCE for a few months, and the customers had MY LOANER headlights so there was no down time. I've had over 150 positive transactions on MYG37, and only 2 or 3 bad ones that were resolved and compensated for.

So don't talk **** about something you have no clue about...

And to answer the OP's question....

You can't swap the projector out from the 2010's onto the 2008's, the housing is SLIGHTLY different due to the top parking light shroud, which makes the opening around the projector curve down a little not giving it room to clear the projector shroud, otherwise the projector shroud would have been a direct bolt on to the 07-09's.

It's possible if you do a front end conversion. It would require a set of new headlights, bumper, and a grill from a 3rd gen sedan.

Not worth all the trouble + the money IMO. If you can afford it, then more power to ya. I have to agree that the new front end looks much more aggressive than the 07-09 sedans.

Hey X-Vert, if I felt absolutely compelled to put in a 2010 shroud, how would I go about doing it? A little sanding so it slides in nice and snug?

I'm gunna test it out, I'll post an update later this week. I fitted the shroud into the housing and it actually fits pretty well, I'm gunna see how it sits in there with the shroud attached to the projector.
