AWD or not?

Whats a good way to tell if a G35 is AWD or not?

Im looking at purchasing a G35 and im told that it's a G35x but im not convinced. There is no "x" on the bumper, it just says G35. I was looking at the VIN number but couldnt tell if it was AWD or not. Any easier way to know other than getting under the car and looking?

Do the G35x's have the x on the rear bumper emblems?

I think a quick way would be if there is a snow button between the two seat heater buttons.

^ what he said. The snow button is located near the gear shift ****, between the heated seats switches in front of the cup holder.

This is what a G35 non X looks like: http://fp.images.autos.msn.com/meris...ry/4832_66.jpg
There is no Snow Mode switch in between the heated seats switch, it is just a blank 'switch.'

And yes, all G35x's have x in the emblem, unless the owner removed the x himself/herself.

The other way to tell, for sure (if you are still not convinced and the button was just there for show) is to check for the AWD control module located next to the in cabin air filter. I doubt they'll let you take the glovebox apart to take a look at it.

Here is the thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...d-no-joke.html

Anyways, if there is no x, I doubt it's an AWD, unless the owner claims that he/she removed the x.

I'm not certain on this one, but maybe the sticker where the driver's door is may show the vehicle info. Don't quote me on this.

IIRC, if yours say "F" where highlighted, it's AWD.

For example:
JNKCV51Fxxxxxxxxx

Let me know if the seller lied to you. I hate people who try to screw you over.

Well, I called Infiniti and asked them to run the VIN... Apparently it's not an "X". She is a non-car enthusiast female, so I'll chalk it up to that, haha. Oh well, thanks again guys. Maybe I can get a few grand off the asking price. I live in Az so it's not like AWD is really needed.

Good luck with your purchase! Usually it is difficult to find X models in areas where there are no snow...
