Extended Factory warranty?

Any thoughts on this offer from an Infiniti dealer on the Elite Extended Warranty:
24,000miles/24 months for $1149 w/$100deductible and I'm currently at 62,000 miles now. I plan to keep the G for the long term. Does this sound like a good deal? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I just had the passenger airbag sensor replaced... Apparently it's build into the seat cushion. They had to replace the entire lower seat cushion and it would have run me $3000 out of warranty. Just for the bad sensor that tells the passenger airbag system whether to turn the airbag on or off.
If you end up needing to use the extended warranty then it could come in handy, if you end up not needing it could be a waste of money. Every scenario is different it seems.

I bought my CPO on 10/30/10. It is a 2008 with 30,417 miles when purchased. The Elite warranty they offered was 7yr/ 100,000miles or 8yr/120,000 miles from date of service and mileage when purchased. I bought the 8yr plan for $1999 which extends my warranty (full bumper to bumper) for almost 6yrs and 90,000 miles.
Hell, that's more than the new cars have. The loan officer told us that the plan 8yr/120,000 mile warranty was brand new.

CPO "Certified Pre-Owned" You don't really have a choice on if you get a CPO, i'l try to explain what i mean. A dealership does a certain detailed inspection on a given car with a certain amount of mileage and tells Infiniti HQ such a vehicles qualifies for the CPO program. Infiniti issues a certificate for such car and offers low APR from 0-9% - 1.9% for specified terms.
Once a dealer tells you a car is CPO you can't really tell them that you want the car but not the Certified part as they cannot uncertify/undo work that has already been done on the vehicle, make sense?
I recently bought mine and it was a CPO, I recently received in the mail the warranty info that the program covers, to be honest with you it doesn't cover a lot outside of powertrain and engine. Plus mine has a $50 deductible. I also bought the elite for $1499 and that has no deductible and runs 8 yrs/ 120000 miles from the inservice date. My car has 35K mile now.
Everyone (dealer included) can speculate what it covers, bottom line is until you get the official warranty booklet in the mail from Nissan USA you don't know what all it will cover. Don't listen to the salesman, his job is to sell the program. I olny bought it because it's only my 2nd USED car I've ever bought and my 2nd G35. I always buy new.
IMHO dealerships do nothing special to CPO cars, it's just a detailed insp but they make money that way.
Along with everything I said above, it's just like life insurance and car insurance. It gives you peice of mind. If you bought used, you have no idea how the previous owner upkept or treated their car, thus you have no idea what will break or when. Every car has its issues and the G35 is no stranger in this department. Like I said I had an 04G35 for 5yrs which I bought new, so I am familiar with the car's reliability history. Now with my 07 I can see that Nissan just can't get some things right, but I'm willing to live with them.
