Who has a remote radar detector installed and

Where did you mount the front antenna? Behind the grill? below the bumper?

People will mount then on the rear view mirror and have a invisi cord.

He is talking about the high end ones that have sensors in the front and back.

Its an interesting question.. When I was looking into radar detectors, I was thinking the same thing. The bottom center grill is to small (length wise) to put laser jammers in and the two vents to the side are solid.. When I eventually upgrade to a system that requires an installation like this, Im going to mount the radar in the middle grill and replace the outer grills with the same mesh as my upper grill and cut out sections at the top for the laser jammers to fit in. I hope this answers your question!

rule of thumb is typically the higher the better. Why are you considering an external rather then a mounted one?
