I was thinking of doing a few things to my g35x and i cant seem to find the right threads or dyi links. Here is what I'm trying to accomplish.

-my car has no nav so can I download and install this myself to the HDD? and if so is there a thread with visuals for me to go off of? also i'm curious as to how to bypass it so i can search while driving.

-I'm also wondering if there is a way to bypass my video on my aux so passengers can watch movies, tv shows etc. while driving off my ipod. I imagine there is a particular wire that needs grounding?

The unit you have does not allow a simple download to upgrade to Nav. It's a different unit all together. Do a search here for nav and there is a thread showing how someone did a nav mod using an outside unit thru the Aux ports...it looked really good.

As for bypass on the video...that subject is banned from the forum as it is illegal in many states.

Do a search and you will find some interesting threads on this.
