Heat & AC malfunctioning?

I drive a 2007 G35x with 53k miles.

I'm having some issues with the heat/AC. All I'm getting is hot air from the vents.

Between the degrees of 62 and 90, the temperature is the same- HOT. There is no difference in temp when I adjust from 62 to 90.

There is no "cool/ambient" air. If I set the temp between 60-62, it's just COLD.

Has anyone seen anything like this?? I hope it's not too serious. Thanks for your help!

Just bring it to the dealer to have it fixed. You're still under the bumper to bumper warranty.

Is it set to auto? Sometimes I find that when its on auto I have to crank it really cold to get the temp to drop. Depending oh when you bought the car you might be past the time limit before the mile limit on warranty ( car was most likely manufactured in late 2006)

I never had this problem but you should go to the dealers and have it fix if it's under warranty. If not then find a good place that don't charge you an arm and a leg to fix it

I'm getting this problem too. I have a 2006 g35 sedan that we bought used. Just put in a new double din hu in. I'm thinking it maybe the DD I bought, but I really don't remember messing around with the controls too much.

At 60 it blows nice cool air, but as soon as I change it to 61 it feels like 90 hot air. I'll try going back to my stock headunit and seeing if that solves it. If not, I'll see how much the dealer will cost to fix it versus buying a new jdm trim kit (if the kit is the problem).

Please update on this =)

Any update on this issue? I realized tonight that mine is no different. 62-90 feels the same an 61 degress you can hear the fan/AC kick over and blow ice cold... no in between.

Please update!

Are you guys running the AC button on the whole time when trying to get heat out?

My car does the same thing..

So does my GF's 2005x. I seem to remember her going in and asking and I dont remember getting a great response from the Dealer.

Its as if the heating unit only works as a on or off switch. I noticed a big difference between her Infiniti and my old Lexus.

In my Lexus there was a noticiable change with each degree, not a change in the range of temps.

I am not sure what the deal is with the HVAC on these cars.

But I would also like to know if someone gets an answer from the dealer on this.

Yes, I was testing with the AC button on and the air temp does not change anywhere between 61-90. In my 4runner, I can set the temperature and then leave it on vent and the temperature is set accordingly. On the G, I cannot get anything between the two temps, its either ice cold or 90 degrees hot

Guys, I'm curious as to whether those temp settings are more for setting the target temperature you want the car to be (like a thermostat), and less of a temperature reading of the air that the climate control is putting out at any given moment. If this were the case, it should stabilize at the chosen temperature after the entire cabin is acclimatized, but initially it would output either all hot or cold until within close range of the target temp. I don't know for sure if this is indeed the case, but it might explain what you're seeing.

My car started doing this 2 years ago. It only did it when it was really cold outside. I took it to the dealer and they couldn't duplicate the issue because it was warmer during the day. Now my car is out of warranty. Issue not resolved.
