front plate

I went to remove my front place today and it turns out that when the dealer put the plate on, they used screws that were way to long and they made huge dents in the bumper. I was looking forward to a clean front end. I guess I will have to wait until I get my bumper repainted.

saw a similar post a few weeks back and that bumper was butchered behind the plate, im glad i did not let my dealer install the front plate even after he kept stressing it was not legally possible for me to drive out without one

Yep I have the same problem. The screws were put in sideways leaving raised areas so bumper plugs wont even lay flat. I've decided to order stillen frames and put the plates back on till I can get a new bumper or this one painted

im going to try to heat up the dents a little bit and even them out from the inside. I will touch up the scratches and use bumper plugs for the holes. Then in the spring, im getting it repainted with a molded lip. and im going to install one of those electric plate holders in the center vent.

HAHA, It looks pretty nice not having front plates, but I am not down for ticket!! Is it possible to remove them and put them on top of your dash and still be legal?

I had the choice to put on the front or not. I told them don't worry about it.

Ahh... I've been eyeing my empty front plate ( not required in GA ) and thinking of taking it off, but hesitant because of what I may find under it... I think I'll just leave it!
