07 won't start

Original owner - 40k miles -
- Started slow last time I drove it -
- when turned off the front marker lights, some dash lights and rear lights wouldn't turn off.
- Would not re-start.
- Tried jumping it and all the lights, radio, etc came on but when I pushed the button to start it it didn't respond/turn over. - Starter switch? Battery? Any ideas?

Thanks!

Warranty.!!! Just call Infiniti road service and have it towed. Sounds like it's definitely an electrical problem. Keep us posted...

Long shot...

whenever I have any possible battery-related problem, I disconnect the cables going to the battery, clean the connections and terminals with a toothbrush and baking soda/water, then reconnect. Might just work...

^ whs, some times either the jump wires are not properly connected to the terminals or the wires themselves dont have a good connection within, best bet would be to try and jump again with better wires or take out your battery and take it in for a free check to your local auto store

I would guess your battery is deader than dead. My 2007 is on it's 3rd battery.

Thanks, everyone for your help.

Turns out that battery was in fact deader than dead...just they way everything acted when it was on it's last breath was strange -

so, jumped it to get it started -

took 20 min to charge enough to start -

then had it tested at Auto Zone - dead -

new battery installed in the comfy confines of my own garage....nice to have something turn out easy!!!

Thanks again, y'all!

Mine did something similar 6 months ago. My (wifes) 07 G35 battery died but what was wierd, was after we jumped it, the car ran fine for another month. Then dead again, I took it to the dealer, seriously they couldn't figure out what was wrong, they said the battery was fine. I was at a local shop when it died, they checked the battery and no good. Muhaha the dealer..... Had a new battery put in and it's been flawless ever since. The car only has 30K miles on it and other than 2 tires, 1 battery, 1windshield wiper need to replace the passenger side, 2 in cabin air filter, 2 air filters and a couple of oil changes nothing else. This is a great car for reliablilty and price.

G35equipped, I had a similar story but then the last time the battery died my Battery light and the brake light appeared on the dash. My alternator had died. I replaced it along with the belt tensioner and no problems ever since. Voltage is between 14.2 and 13.2 most of the time. 14.6 is usually at start until the car is warm, then it goes down a bit.

My battery light went on, and I'm not sure about the brake light, but my key light came on and the dash was acting weird. I thought there was a short, so when I purchased the car, it was a lease, I purchased the extended warranty for 1300 more. If I new it was only a battery I wouldn't of purchased the warranty....
