R2C driving me crazy!!

Sooooooo .....did R2C send me a bad tube or am I just losing my mind!?!?!

You can see the difference in the alignment of the MAF bolt locations on both tubes

If in install the MAF in the correct direction the bolts do not line up correctly???

Am I missing something completely easy or did I get a bad tube (for the sake of not looking like a total idiot I am almost hoping it's a bad tube)

I know a few people who have the RC2 intake, with no issues.

not saying that, but I think stating that they are ebay quality is a little far fetched as well. I personally haven't heard anyone with the 2nd gen sedan that have anything bad to say about them really. Seems like most guys are running the Stillens or R2C

maybe it's because you are not mounting it in the right direction, from the pics, it looks like if u flip it, it should fit.
My install want fine, the hard part is the vacuum tubes

I can flip it and it will fit just fine, but the MAF is then in backwards??? It's almost like they installed the mounting bracket backwards.....

oh nvm, i just double checked my, ya yours seems to be a bad kit, the entire maf mount is backwards, i guess this is the first defective piece i have ever heard of from R2C, and you can't switch it, the tube is a 1 piece unit, maybe try contacting R2C in the morning to see if they can warranty it for you

Are you serious? u need to do your research before maligning a respectable company. Price apart, their R&D and quality is second to none, they make filtration equipment that is better than the best and their tubes and shields are even better than many great brands out there. As for this issue, if it is in fact a bad tube they will replace it, and like many, even the best of best companies can have one bad piece.

Also their customer service is the best i have ever received, you should really try them out or check them out before putting them down like that without any reason.

As for the OP, if there is in fact an issue with the tubes R2C WILL remedy the issue in a heart beat (from personal experience) and even take care of you beyond that to keep you satisfied. G/L
