Debating whether to sell the G...

Am I nuts? I have completely fallen in love with the 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX 5-door. I know, Subaru drivers can be butts cause they have the "fastest" cars in the world LOL. But the wagon is so cute to me...headed to Atlanta next weekend to test drive a 2011 and see if I'm losing my mind.

I'd much rather have an M3 but that is way out of my price range...

Comments and criticisms all welcome!!!

If it makes you happier The whole sport wagon thing just doesn't appeal to me. Comparing a 5 door vehicle with our G's isn't the same. IMO the Subaru looks like a nice car but doesn't have the same type of asthetic look like yours. The biggest thing will be the interior, how its not as refined.

It has a beautiful design – sporty and sophisticated but yeah right $ 40,000 and an underpowered turbo that makes 300 HP!! What a joke. Hell every car makes over 300 HP now days. The bar has been at least 400 HP for a few years now.

I am biased though, dont leave

I agree...in no way does the Subie compare to the G, nor is it elegant especially interior. But I'm kinda over the soft look...I feel like I need a toy and the G is definitely not a toy. Its a nice pimping sedan but not one to beat on and tune. Its my understanding that the interior has come a long way so that is why I'm going to take a look for myself. I think I could get one for $35k NOT $40k

But I totally see what you mean with 300hp no longer being hype. Maybe I'm just getting bored with the G. But I'm still going to take the Subie for a test drive. Stay tuned...

And by the way....you are sooooooooooooooo retarded

I was kinda thrown by this comment until i saw the "Female Driven" in your sig.

I think we all would love to get an M3.

My take is that the WRX is a very nice car and is very fun to drive. But it will be lacking in the Bling/Prestege area and also is a bit of a boy racer type car. As said before, the interior is kinda junky and the leather is a bit lower in quality.

Driving wise it is very entertaining and is close to the G.

I think the G is a classy yet stunning looking car. I do agree that it may not rival the WRX in the "cute" area but looks are always subjective and personal.

Go drive it and let us know.

Also why would u need AWD in FL?

CerveloR3-SL, the give away should have been when I stated that the Subie was "so cute" LOL. I don't see a dude using that terminology unless he is "sweet", no judging just saying LOL.

Your right the Subie is a boy racer type car, I'm a tomboy what can I say? I think that is why it appeals to me. Coming from a heavily modded CRX, Civic, GSR then a supercharged Acura TL-S I purchased the G for many reasons, but mainly because I thought I had "matured" and was ready for something a bit more sophisticated. However, I have reverted back to my delinquent days and feel the need to drive something a bit less mature...something more rugged.

My brothers thinks I should just keep the G and get a used Integra or Civic and tinker with that. But long gone are the days that I want to put $10k into a 4-cylinder.

I will definitely give my driving impressions upon return. I could do without the AWD obviously here in Florida but I have no choice with this model.

^ whs, if you like it then go for it, thats the reason we have sooo many choices in cars cause everyone has their own likes/dislikes or in this case likes and "better likes" i say if you test drive it and love it, then just go for it!

What happens in two yrs when the next "cute" car comes out However, you are driven by your feelings for the Subie so go for it. After all we all seek to fulfill our, hmm desires whether cars, or food , or people.

Gtbigup01, I haven't kept a car longer than 3.5 years...so I guess I'm getting that feeling again Columbus isn't that far, we may have to line up ones of these days if I get the Subie

Don't get me wrong I love women who appreciate cars, and there is nothing wrong with being a tomboy. But boyracers just scream out "look at me I am trying" far too much. Almost like they are saying arrest me now!!

I like the looks of the G.. Sexy and sophistocated.... Works for guys and gals...

Plus I dont know... this just does not really say cute to me....

This you can call cute... J/K

I am actually digging the sedan version more. the lines are more clean and distinct.

Jessi seems to like its looks and thinks its a good car.... So you have another female option there.

Personally if you were going to do an AWD rally car... this is the one I would get..

Either way good luck with your decision and keep up with the cute comments. Keeps people like me on our toes...

I looked into a 2010 5-Door. I wanted to do the Cobb setup with the downpipe, access port and exhaust. I saw C&D had tested one (non sti) and it was laying down some really good numbers. 0-6 low 4's and 13 flat 1/4's. I couldn't get past the "boy racer" thing even though I also really like the look and I might be one of the few but a flat 4 with exhaust makes a sweet noise. Good luck with the decision. I would love to have one as my second car to go out and play in. Pretend I'm Ken Block in gravel cover parking lots lol

CerveloR3-SL you got me crackin up!!!! Love the pics and research, you are one crazy dude. The bug is sooooo stinkin ugly!!! And you are wrong for finding a picture of a pink one LOL. The pic of the black G ALMOST looks as good as mine j/k! I really started liking the Subies when the came out with the electric blue WRX sedan (minus the whale tail) but I don't want another sedan. I want the WAGON it is just different. And the mods are so endless...I can see myself in a white one! Stay tuned my friend...I hope the sales guy lets me take it out by myself!

Oh and I'd never buy a Mistubishi, crap, crap, crap...how many Eclipes do you see around on the road now adays. Those things have disappeared.
