One of the bolts stripped, so it was cut in half so i could take it home (i.e. fit in the car). It's sitting in the garage now.
I initially considered painting the chrome "lip" but i actually like it, it helps define the rear-end and also why i didn't get a spoiler that would cover it up. Then again, there's no way i can paint it now, the spoiler is permanently attached.
Thanks. I'm all for a sleeper look. Now i just need to do something so it becomes a real sleeper (SC anyone?)

I just used Rustoleum High Heat. Lowes has a sale on the one that has "25% More" which was enough to cover both mufflers
Only prep was sanding it down (very fine sand block) then wiped it down with alcohol. Not sure how well that technique works since this is highly polished steel we're working with, but i think it'll hold up just fine.

^Thanks.
That's what i figured. Random therm readings for both muffler can and pipes don't seem to go over a hundred or so degrees over ambient. My guess is, even at the peak of summer and ragging on the car at the same time, no more than 3-4 hundred degrees?
Although, speaking of heat, everytime i get out of the car now, i feel a warm rush of air coming from underneath, and we're still in the 70s. Kinda makes me wonder how bad it'll be come summer and 100+ degree weather. Should've wrapped them before installing. <g>

I wouldn't want to reach under my car and grab hold of one of the main pipes, but the cans themselves, as well as the tips, don't get anywhere near that hot on my FI setup. 300-400 can cause burns. I can put my hand right onto my exhaust cans and keep it there without any sense of pain... they're just warm.
