2007 G35S Cat Replaced

Brought the car from a Nissan dealership with approx 44k miles on it. About 2 days after driving it the SES came on. Took it back to Nissan and they cleared it, at first stating it was a old O2 sensor code, nothing to worry about. Ok cool, whatever. So about a week later, SES again, back to Nissan again and they say now that O2 sensor is bad, under warranty from Infiniti and they will replace it. So off to Infiniti I go, drop off car, sitting in lounge and they call me and say that the cat convertor hasa bad weld and is leaking and will replace the cat, it's under warranty. Just curious if anyone else had a cat covertor problem around the 44-45k mile mark?

you might be the first i have heard of. if you were out of warranty it would have been a great excuse for some High flow ones!

LOL... I've been waiting for one of mine to fail so I can go with HFCs.
I haven't felt the need enough to do them any sooner than when "needed".

They probably broke the weld (something else maybe?) trying to take off a stuck O2 sensor.
