Hey im posting this here because the Tech area is dead

What's guys/gals, I have a quick ?, does anyone have Pac Vci-nis1(video interface) installed on 07 G35 Sedan? PAC audio site states that the vehicle should use vci-nis2, but on some sites such as best buy states that Vci-nis1 will work with 07 sedans. i wan to install a rear cam. Thanks in advance*

 

i have the NIS2 installed on my 08 (which i know isn't your question) but per the PAC website the NIS1 will NOT work on your infiniti. i dont know what other sites are saying but i would listen to PAC directly. if all else fails just email them but i highly doubt the NIS1 will work for you because the physical harnesses changed after 06 when they changed the body styles.

so i just googled it quick and i see some sites do say it will work but i just really dont think so....like i said i would email PAC and ask, or check out some of the other G sites out there in the interwebs.

 

Thanks Remmy for the reply. I wonder if i switch db9 harness off the nis1 and get the nis2 db9 harness, i wonder will that work

 

um, i want to say no because the pinouts are likely different from our model G to the previous but you can verify this in the shop manuals if you really want. so i don't think it's just the shape of the harness but also the pinout difference from the older radios.
