I notice a slow leak at the end of the hose connection. My car only has 40k miles on it, but there is some leakage (nothing significant). I am likely going to just grab a new hose and do a flush.

Should I just use OEM coolant and distilled water? Pretty simple process to flush?

IDK, but if I were you guys, I'd just slide that clamp back and twist the hose a bit to settle into a "new" position on that goose-neck and then reinstall the clamp in a new position as well just to see if that changed it. If your coolant needs changing, then fine, do that, but I'd be real surprised if that little bit of seepage couldn't be stopped with a good re-seating of things.

Must be a Nissan feature! Someone else here had it too!! I probably change it myself! Or just pay $50 on my next oil change!!

If it's under warranty just take it to the dealer. Let them fix it for free. Adjusting the clamp may just make it come up again when it's not on the warranty.

this is a common leak on many cars after the initial break-in, readjustment of the clamp or replacement should take care of it

I'm having minor coolant loss issues in the last 7,000 miles or so (41K on the G currently). Probably added 6-8 oz during this period. I've gone over the hoses and don't see any of the tell tale 'coolant crust' near the water pump housing. I do get a slight anti freeze smell (from outside the car only after a run at full operating temp). I guess time to have the dealer pressure test the system. I just can't ID the source of the leakage, however minor.

i have same thing, dealer said Oh thats normal when the hose expands the clamp is made to also expand and it can leak a bit, its nothing to worry about unless u are loosing coolant to the point of adding. Just keep your eye on overfill tank.

get rid of the BS clamp and put one on there that you can really tighten down... lol

And you do not need to flush the coolant system. Just fill it up and bleed it correctly
