I called autozone today to see if they had any k and n intake systems in stock. He told me instead of getting that, get a programmer for 399 and I can get about 30 hp and 30 tq. I am unfamiliar with a programmer and I would just like to get yalls suggestion on this.

Bull! no generic tuner will get you 30hp/tq on our cars! average gains with a GOOD specific tuner is 10-18hp.

 

Even then, its still 10-18 hp better than a CAI

 

dont buy the programmer and dont call taht autozone again. Get ur intake from somewhere else.

Autozone is great for a quick stop for wax or detailing spray, but I would never use them as a source of advice for performance improvements.

 

Just get bolt on and that you give you some gains. Then get your car tuned.

 

yeah autozone dont know what they are talking about at all but it is so hard to find a performance shop that sells parts for are cars and that knows what they are talking about
