Should I buy these wheels!!!

My buddy is in a crunch and is selling his wheels that have been sitting for a few years. They were on his IS300. In poor shape but I am only paying 350. The polilshed lip needs some buffing badly. Small dent on 1 wheel. A nail in another tire. 350$. tires have good tread still. I plan on powdercoating the lip gloss black as well as the inner cap by the way. I want all black wheels. The red lip might stay however.

IF you really want them, then do what ever makes you happy. Maybe lower because you have to fix them up to looking good again.

Put them on my G that cost me nearly 40k? OMG nooo.. pls don't do it! I wouldn't even want those wheels on a beater. They look corroded and look like they will just crack next time you hit a pothole. I would never compromise on the quality of my wheels/tires.

Yeah, stay away. If they were kept up, yes. But those look too bad to mess with.

of course theyre wrong.. they came off an IS300. for 350 plus 100+ per wheel for restoration and repaint. 750 + money on the right tire sizes.. if it makes you happy, go for it.

So profound GR6RR. No wonder you have over 2000 posts! Lol, just giving you a hard time. Luger, sounds like you want to help out your friend but do it another way. If those tires have been sitting for years I would be concerned about potential dry rot. I'm sure the wheels would turn out great once you put some time/money into them but I'd stay clear of them...

I just pictured them on his IS300 5 years ago. When I saw them in person it was a reality check for sure. They are definitely not what I'm looking for. Thanks all.
