looking to get one of these for a 2007 g35s...

anyone know where i can get a cheap one?

i don't have nav, so this is purely for looks

 

ebay has cheap stick on ones, since the OEM require to drill the roof i believe

do you know if this looks like the OEM one?

 

Looks longer than OEM, to me. But, I think that it would look fine. You'd just have to get it painted.

 

^whs its longer than the OEM but i think it would look nice painted, paint job on this might cost you around $20-30 cause they'd have to buy your paint code pint even though its such a small piece, unless they have some lying around.

do you think it will matter that the black might be a little bit different? do you think it's small enough that it won't be noticeable?

 

well i cant tell for sure of course but when it comes to black its really hard to tell any difference in shade especially if its such a small piece and that too on top of the roof, it should be fine IMO

 

Don't but the ebay one on link. It's waaaaaay longer than the ones on infiniti, approximately 19 cm in length. As the title says, its BMW style. Notice that BMW fins are a lot longer than ours.

like 2/3 the size. google pics for ours and BMWs and you can tell the difference. The BMW fins are approximately 19cm, while ours is about 14.5 cm (sorry I'm using metric, its from the ebay site). The shape of the fin from side view is different too, BMW has smooth and infiniti has a sharp edge. Oh, and though the title on ebay says "fits infiniti, lexus.....), if its from the same seller assume that its the same size and shape. A friend of mine bought the one you were looking at, and although it said fits infiniti, it is totally different from ours.

The size isn't on there, but its an OEM product and according to what is says online it was like 15cm by 7.5cm in Length to height. Or, try finding an antenna cover for the OEM shark fin from infiniti and stick those on with 3M tape. Just the cover, not the actual antenna. It shouldn't be that expensive, probably around the same price you'll be paying for the imitations from ebay. GL

 

OP, here's two antenna covers, one from the ebay shop you were looking at and the other is OEM antenna cover. I borrowed the ebay one from my friend and the OEM one is mine.

i dont have nav but my 08 came with it stock?!

 

Nav and Tech package, so yea even without Navigation it could come with it for XM and satellite related features. I don't have nav either.

 

Can someone please post the part number for the shark fin cover, I would like to buy one as a dummy cover. Thank you.
