Car should be fine now...

Finally had enough took my car to infiniti dealership. My steering wheel is getting taken care off along with my door handles and my front drivers heated seat is being take care of as well... I wished when he was on the phone he just stopped there

He said my clucth is gone and its 1400 to fix. But what sucks even more is that i wont have my car till Monday and they cant even give me a loaner.

^ ya there was TSB for that i also got it fixed. What happened to your clutch? is toast? how many miles?

even though thats a better price from the dealer considering most ask for $2000, i think you should go to a reputable shop that deals with nissans and infiniti's to get a new clutch andi get you can save about $400.

Screw that noise, I'd def take it to a trusted mechanic.
You'll always get screwed for parts & labor at the stealership.
That's where they make all their money.

So how long is considered too long to heat up your seats??? Also for those of you who had this issue addressed, do they replace the whole seat or just the heating mechanism???

I really want a new driver seat. It looks terrible with the wrinkles and lines along the side of the seat. It's not like I don't take care of my interior too. I use Lexol cleaner + conditioner at least few times a year. I currently have 55k miles in my 08 sedan, so I want to address all the issues before my warranty expires.

^ they just replaced the heating mechanism, i believe it was the harness actually check out the tSB. not really sure what the time should be but before it took too long, it heated up almost after i got to my destination, now its pretty warm within a few minutes but is no comparison to the TLs heated seats for sure.

Just tell em that you just dont have that kind of money on you to spare, let them think youre broke who cares? they cant force you to get it done there and should just let you go as long as you didnt tell them specifically that you wanted them to order the parts for service, if you did then just say you cant afford to get the service done now and buy the parts IF you asked them to order em and they are not willing to take em back and then have a local but reputable mechanic do it. Ask in your regional forum and you should find good reviewed shop.

How could it possibly cost 1400 for a clutch? I haven't had to replace a clutch since I replaced the one on my Honda CRX in the early 90's and it was only a couple of hundred.

I thought I was leaving that kind of thing behind when I switched to infiniti from bmw.
